During winter, certain mountain passes and roads are closed to traffic.

 By train or bus

Lourdes train station, the closest to the Vallées de Gavarnie, is located 10 minutes from Argelès-Gazost.

  • BlaBlaCar Bus ou Flixbus serve Lourdes, 10 minutes from Argelès-Gazost.
  • Lourdes Station is served by TGV, TER, Intercités or night trains from the main cities in France.

  • To reach the towns and villages of our valleys, take the bus line liO 965 towards Argelès-Gazost, Gavarnie-Gèdre, Barèges or Cauterets. Otherwise, take a taxi transfer.

 By plane

It is also possible to travel to the Pyrenees by plane.

All year round, theToulouse-Lourdes-Pyrénées airport (24 km from Argelès-Gazost) is served by regular lines from Paris-Orly and other European cities.

Shuttle buses
stations

- Barèges shuttle – Grand Tourmalet station (Tournaboup car park) : every day continuously from 8:30 a.m. to 17:30 p.m., free (dogs muzzled and on a leash or small dogs carried in a bag).

- Tournaboup shuttle (next to the ticket office) - Plateau du Lienz : Continuous service from 9:30 a.m. to 16:30 p.m.
Single price: €2/person/trip (free for under 5s).
Tickets to be collected at the Grand Tourmalet ticket office in Tournaboup or at the Barèges Tourist Office.
