Ski touring in the Pyrenees

Ski touring
& freerando

  • In nature
  • Winter
  • Sport and thrills

The skins stuck under the skis, step by step, venture where you can no longer access the ski lifts... A Pyrenean peak in your sights, make your tracks through vast expanses of virgin snow . Once the goal is reached, discover a very special feeling, that of earning your descent and savoring each turn to enjoy these moments, as if they were ephemeral.

    Another approach to the mountain

Ski touring offers a completely different approach to skiing. No lifts or groomed trails. Here your physical efforts are rewarded with unique descents, off the beaten track, adapting to the conditions that the mountain offers you.

    Try ski touring

    in the Valleys of Gavarnie

Here you can choose Your itinerary and make your own tracks. Once the seal skins fixed, you then become one with the mountain to go where you want and accomplish the objective you have set for yourself. From the summit, the chain of the Pyrenees extends in front of you, the time to catch your breath, feel a wind of freedom and pride fill you.

Ski touring is open to anyone with a good level of downhill skiing. And as for the level of physical endurance, it will mainly depend on the route selected. The plurality of the landscapes of the Gavarnie Valleys allows just as much start on small elevations or to try to big climbs...

    Guided outings

Qualified professionals offer outings for all levels. If you are a beginner, the guides and guides will be able to give you the keys to progress and move safely along the snowy slopes.

    During the day

If you already have a good level, outings custom made can make you discover the less accessible areas and the steep slopes of the Pyrenees. In winter, the summits 3 meters in the Pyrenees can also be skied. Let yourself be guided in this very special experience that will leave you with lasting memories.

    Ski touring in the Pyrenees

    Over several days...

To make the pleasure last, outings on several days with nights in a shelter allow total immersion in nature. Accompanied by a guide or attendant, set off on a ski raid in the Valleys of Gavarnie. It is a progressive discovery of a massif or a sector, far from everything but above all, in the heart of the most authentic Pyrenees that you can find.

    the freerando

Departing from a ski resort, you climb as high as possible with the ski lifts, then after a short ascent on ski touring, downhill on virgin slopes.

Far from the crowds, you will approach elevation differences adapted to your level for beautiful long descents.

Any alpine skier, at ease on red slopes and off-piste can learn about the practice of freerando. In autonomy ou framed by a guide.
