This practice accessible to the whole family is an essential activity during a stay in the mountains. At your own pace, take the marked trails and discover the most beautiful Pyrenean reliefs sprinkled with snow.

On the side of Barèges

Barèges and its surroundings are a great place for snowshoeing. Numerous walks and hikes, of all levels, are possible from the village, the Lienz plateau or the Tournaboup car park. The Lienz plateau is a privileged site for all lovers of Nordic activities, such as dog sledding or ski touring (Ayré forest).

Gavarnie side, 6 courses signposted await you for beautiful walks alone, with family or friends. These different circuits allow the most novices as well as the most experienced to find the shoe that suits them. Sometimes in a forest environment, sometimes on wide snow-covered plateaus, these routes have landscapes as sublime as they are diversified and allow you to discover Gavarnie from different angles.

The alpine ski areas of the valleys also offer marked snowshoe trails near the slopes, for those who prefer walking to sliding.

Without forgetting the Nordic spaces of the Val d'Azun, Hautacam and Pont d'Espagne where you can indulge in the pleasures of snowshoeing away from the crowds and the ski lifts to progress in the peace and quiet of the snowy landscapes.
