MARKED BEGINNER CIRCUITS

Is this your first snowshoe outing? Follow a marked route through the resorts of Hautacam, Val d'Azun, Gavarnie-Gèdre, Luz Ardiden, Pont d'Espagne or Grand Tourmalet. This will allow you to introduce yourself to this practice and get used to walking with snowshoes and poles along easy and safe trails. By changing stations, you immerse yourself in a new atmosphere, explore new valleys and reach new peaks.

Our advice

FOR A SUCCESSFUL HIKE

For your first steps on snowshoes, here are our few tips for getting started.  
 
- To start, go to a equipment rental company, they will be able to advise you and find you the equipment adapted to your level.

- For your outfit, choose clothing adapted to the current conditions. Your mountain shoes must be waterproof, to keep your feet dry. 

- Before embarking on your hike, find out about the weather conditions and avalanche risks. In the event of poor conditions, we advise you to postpone your outing.

- Once started, it is recommended not to leave the routes identified by the markings and not to multiply the tracks. 

- On the shared routes with other activities, be vigilant and follow the signs. 

- During your outing, you will certainly take a snack break. Remember to take all your waste with you.
