Visite guidée "Traditions villageoises et richesses baroques de ses deux églises"
Imagine a glacial cirque reaching up to 3000 meters above sea level, with at its centre one of the highest waterfalls in Europe (427 meters), all completely frozen in winter! UNESCO World Heritage Site, Grand Site Occitanie (Major site of Occitanie) the emblematic heart of the Pyrenees National Park.
The meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts.
Gavarnie-Gèdre combines the calm of the mountains with the pleasures of the snow... A true white paradise! Following in the footsteps of the most famous Pyreneans, you will discover this marvel of nature whilst snowshoeing or simply on foot. You can pull toddlers in a sled and why not have a memorable snowball fight?
Skiers will love this ski area on a human scale with breathtaking views and short lift queues. The diversity of the slopes allows experienced skiers to enjoy exceptional natural snow, be it downhill skiing or ski touring.
Beginners can get across the whole ski area thanks to the longest green slope of the Pyrenees which allows them to ski from the highest point of the ski area to the lower slopes on a 6km long easy descent. Fabulous!
It's time to partake in the joys of the cold and ice! Thrill-seekers can take on frozen waterfalls of worldwide acclaim. A less dangerous meeting with ice is on the Gèdre natural ice rink where you can enjoy some beautiful moments.
