The GFNY Lourdes Tourmalet returns to Lourdes on Sunday June 23, 2024!
GFNY, a global endurance sports brand, is the abbreviation of Gran Fondo New York: “Gran Fondo” is the Italian term for “grand challenge” inspired by endurance racing
skiing, swimming and cycling events known since the 1950s. The very first Gran Fondo took place in New York in 2010.
A GFNY is a personal endurance challenge where you measure yourself against others, against the clock
and to oneself. Some athletes will fight for the podium, others will do their best
to beat the clock. Others will enjoy the scenery. Everyone will be able to do what they want with this moment and take full advantage of it.
Everything is planned so that each participant is PRO FOR A DAY, pro for a day, with:
- a unique jersey
- coaching worthy of professionals
- 5 refueling stations
- post-race festivities

Like all GFNYs, the Lourdes Tourmalet edition offers 2 routes:
- The long course: a competitive course, timed and classified over 157KM/3900M+
- The average course: a non-competitive course, timed but not classified over 100km/2300m+
Weekend program:
> Friday June 21:
- 10 a.m. - convention center: Supervised group outing for GFNY club members and VIP ticket holders
> Saturday June 22:
- 9 a.m. to 19 p.m. - convention center: opening of the exhibition and registrations
- 10 a.m. - convention center: Supervised group outing for GFNY club members and VIP ticket holders
> Sunday June 23:
- 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. - convention center: latest recordings
- 7 a.m.: departure area opens
- 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.: bike service
- 7 a.m.: closing of the SAS
- 8 a.m.: DEPARTURE FROM GFNY LOURDES TOURMALET 2024
- 10:30 a.m.: opening of the post-race meal
- 11 a.m.: arrival of the 1st runner of the medium course
- 12:55 p.m.: arrival of the winner
- 14:30 p.m.: awards ceremony
- 16 p.m.: closure of the course
- 17 p.m.: end of the festivities.
