Located on this iconic mountain pass, the ski area comprises 100km of alpine skiing on 58 pistes suitable for all levels in an absolutely amazing landscape. On one side of the col you’ll find Barèges with its pine tree forests, shepherds' huts and its authentic feel, on the other is is La Mongie, at the foot of the Pic du Midi with its wide slopes, its many shops and plenty of entertainment. It’s a big ski resort with enough variation of pistes and landscapes to ensure a fun packed holiday. From La Laquette to the Pic du Midi Beginners will start on the lTournaboup area with its green slopes then head to the Laquette plateau and its idyllic setting. Laquette, Ayré and Lienz are the favourite spots for ski enthusiasts and those who enjoy the great outdoors – pistes through the pine trees, rocky outcrops overlooking the ski area and the valley view are a great source of inspiration. The legendary "panoramic" run at the top of the pass offers a 360 ° view which you can descend in a “schuss” along the Col du Tourmalet road which becomes a blue run in winter leading to Barèges village. Freeriders should head to the top of the Pic du Midi at 2,877m altitude to experience legendary off-piste!
