The Soulor col to the Aubisque col

Located at an altitude of 1,474 m, the Soulor col is a fabulous area for discovering the mountains, whatever mode you choose!! It is a mountain road used by many cyclists, drivers and motorcyclists who also continue on to the nearby Col d’Aubisque col or Spain (located 1hr20min away).

In summer, it is a nature site where cattle graze at the foot of majestic mountains. Follow us, we will take you to taste the farm cheese which delicately ages in the maturing cellars. We also walk along themed trails for viewing raptors and passerines and we observe them in flight in the sky with” l’association col libre”.

It is also an outdoor recreational area for all the family with a zip line and electric scooters ... guaranteed thrills!

In winter, this area is one of two entrance points to the ​​Val d'Azun Nordic area, which is entirely dedicated to cross-country skiing.

Couraduque pass

Located at an altitude of 1,367m, the Col de Couraduque is an ideal high point for viewing the summits: Pic du Midi de Bigorre, Balaïtous, Pic du Midi d'Arrens, Cabaliros, Hautacam...
All year long the walking trails to “Pic de Bazès” are open, there are mountain bike tracks, but also to family outings to investigate the area with the orienteering trails and necessary files or simply to pick some delicious blueberries. But it is more than anything the preferred spot for passionate paragliders who can use the summer shuttle bus to take them to the peak to take their flight.

In winter, this area is one of the two entrance points to the ​​Val d'Azun Nordic area with its Nordic Park and kid’s play area.

Bordères pass

Enjoy a breath-taking view of the Pic du Midi d’Arrens, the Gabizos and the Balaïtous before heading down into the Estaing Valley and maybe extending the trip with a tour of the lake!

Electric scooter rental

Every day in July and August the resort’s picnic room turns into a rental office for electric scooters, helmets and battery backpacks, and then off you go onto the mountain tracks!


After a few instructions on how to use the equipment, you can head off in complete freedom along the Col du Soulor tracks. All whilst taking in the scenery: animals in their summer pastures, magnificent mountain views and the small Lake Soum.

There are 2 tracks, a 30 min green or a 60 min blue one. Both are fun to ride and allow you to fully enjoy the stunning scenery. The uphill climb is easy thanks to the electrical assistance and you descend at your own speed on the way down.

 

Orientation course for children

Go on an adventure with Edgard, Babeth, Greg and Sherlock, with this booklet, a map and a compass; will you be able to solve the puzzles and find all the clues? Discovery trails for all age groups that take them through the forest and along trails on the Col du Couraduque pass. Booklets available at the “Maison du Val d’Azun“ Info centre in Arrens-Marsous.

Treasure hunt 
Every Friday at 10.00 in July & August, a mountain guide takes children and their families on a treasure hunt. Young and old will learn to how to read a map and use a compass to navigate in the mountains and find delicious treasures to share. Tickets on sale at the “Maison du Val d’Azun“ Info centre in Arrens-Marsous.
