Located at an altitude of 1,474 m, the Soulor col is a fabulous area for discovering the mountains, whatever mode you choose!! It is a mountain road used by many cyclists, drivers and motorcyclists who also continue on to the nearby Col d’Aubisque col or Spain (located 1hr20min away).
In summer, it is a nature site where cattle graze at the foot of majestic mountains. Follow us, we will take you to taste the farm cheese which delicately ages in the maturing cellars. We also walk along themed trails for viewing raptors and passerines and we observe them in flight in the sky with” l’association col libre”.
It is also an outdoor recreational area for all the family with a zip line and electric scooters ... guaranteed thrills!
In winter, this area is one of two entrance points to the Val d'Azun Nordic area, which is entirely dedicated to cross-country skiing.
Located at an altitude of 1,367m, the Col de Couraduque is an ideal high point for viewing the summits: Pic du Midi de Bigorre, Balaïtous, Pic du Midi d'Arrens, Cabaliros, Hautacam...
All year long the walking trails to “Pic de Bazès” are open, there are mountain bike tracks, but also to family outings to investigate the area with the orienteering trails and necessary files or simply to pick some delicious blueberries. But it is more than anything the preferred spot for passionate paragliders who can use the summer shuttle bus to take them to the peak to take their flight.
In winter, this area is one of the two entrance points to the Val d'Azun Nordic area with its Nordic Park and kid’s play area.
Enjoy a breath-taking view of the Pic du Midi d’Arrens, the Gabizos and the Balaïtous before heading down into the Estaing Valley and maybe extending the trip with a tour of the lake!
