The Vallées de Gavarnie information points are happy to welcome you in optimal health and safety conditions. Your safety and that of our teams is a priority. That is why we have adapted our reception areas, reinforced our sanitary protection and made our teams aware of the need to adopt barrier gestures. For everyone's well-being, we also ask you to apply them. All opening hours are up to date here. Booking with us means having the guarantee of an adapted service. We are committed to advising each of you through personalised support and systematically facilitate free postponement conditions for booked holidays that cannot take place on the scheduled date. Cancellation conditions are relaxed with a guarantee of free cancellation on D-1 in the event of new travel restrictions. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our teams.

From Saturday 28th November the shops and home services of the Vallées de Gavarnie will be open and will follow a strict sanitary protocol. However, there are still a few exceptions:  

The ski lifts in the ski areas will remain closed until at least mid-January. Access to the resorts is possible during this period to allow you to enjoy the mountains.

  • Shops will be open, but not bars and restaurants. 
  • Thermal baths and casinos will remain closed for the time being.  
  • Camps and holiday centres will remain closed for the Christmas holidays.  
  • Bars, cafés and restaurants will remain closed until mid-January.  

From 15 December the lockdown will be lifted and a curfew will be in place from 21:00 and until 7:00 in the morning. Our information points will be open again to welcome and advise you, check the timetable here.

Catering to take away :

From 28 November to 15 December, individual physical activity is permitted within a limit of 20 km around the home for a duration of 3 hours.  

From 15 December onwards you can once again enjoy the wide open spaces of our valleys on foot, snowshoes, bicycle or even ski touring.  Equipment hire shops will be open. Click here to see all the service providers.

Leisure facilities and bases 

Mountain luge: Mountain luge remains closed to this day  
Pic du Midi: The Pic du Midi also remains closed to the public until further notice.  
Ice rinks and climbing halls: These structures also remain closed for the time being.  
Cinemas, museums, halls and theatres will be able to reopen.

Accommodation  

You can book your holiday in the valleys now for stays from 15 December.  

Hotels : The hotels in the valleys will be happy to welcome you again, the restaurants of hotel establishments will be closed.  

Gîtes, campsites, bed and breakfasts and holiday rentals: you can also book your stay now to come back to the mountains for the end of the year celebrations. For more information, do not hesitate to contact our teams. ​​
