About us
This museum offers a panorama of the territory of Gavarnie-Gèdre.
Fly over the majestic Cirques of Gavarnie, Troumouse, Estaubé and their mythical summits through a playful model. Go back in time and let yourself count the history of the valley through a chronological frieze.
From the discovery of the landscapes of Gavarnie-Gèdre to the importance of water (mills, hydroelectric power station), through agriculture, pastoralism and the history of the valley, Millaris will take you on a journey to the very heart of the Land of Circuses!
Screenings of short documentary films are possible free of charge and on request to discover the valley of Gavarnie-Gèdre and the Pyrenees Mont Perdu site inscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list.
Temporary exhibitions are also on offer: detailed program available on the Gavarnie Valleys agenda.
