La Carde, a manufacturer of blankets, plaids, duvets and woolen items from the Pyrenees, is a family business. Since 1891, five generations have passed on the torch of what has remained a craft business and has become Maison Lafond.
In Esquièze-Sère, a stone's throw from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, in the heart of Pays Toy in the Hautes-Pyrénées, La Carde opens its doors wide to you. You will be able to discover a unique know-how in the manufacture of woolen articles from the Pyrenees, 100% Pays Toy.
Guided tours, Wednesdays at 17 p.m. during the Christmas, winter, spring and summer holidays.
New tour of the production site permanently available according to the opening days and times of La Carde. Free visit open to all allowing you to follow the 12 stages of manufacture from the raw material - local wool - to the finished products.
