About us

Today parish church it was part until the French Revolution of a very influential Benedictine monastery in the valley.
It dates from the XNUMXth century and will be completed in the Gothic period by an elevation of the walls and the bell tower.
Classified as a Historic Monument since 1840, it is characterized by a very rich collection of movable objects: Romanesque sarcophagus of Saint-Savin, paintings recounting his life from the end of the 1557th century, ciborium and Christ in wood from the XNUMXth century and Renaissance organ dated from XNUMX.

Admission to the Abbey is free (no guided tour for individuals).

For the visit of the Treasure Museum the price is 2,50€ and free for children under 16 years old. (Payment by check or cash). Visits from Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 14:30 p.m. to 18 p.m.
