    In the village ofAucun, Azun Nature campsite is labeled " National park spirit both for its pitches and for its hamlet of “Nature & Bois” chalets. These accommodations with clean and contemporary lines promise a warm atmosphere, but also a breathtaking view of the mountain.

     

    After a day of hiking, you can relax in the "La Cabana'SPA" wellness area equipped with a sauna, a spa overflow and a Nordic bath. In summer, enjoy a session of yoga on the terrace with the peaks of the Midi, Arrens and Gabizos as a backdrop.

    Meeting with a shepherd

    Accompanied by a guide from the Val d'Azun mountain office, set off for an encounter with a shepherd the time of a day. This easy hike takes you from the village of Arrens to the summer pastures, where Baptiste awaits you with his herd of cows.

    After two hours of walking through meadows, barns and small mountain paths, experience an encounter with pastoral traditions. You will take the herd back to the farm to participate in the daily ritual of milking for the production of a tasty farmhouse cheese.

    Alongside Gwenaelle, mountain guide, you are traveling from the village ofAucun by the path which leads to Soum Lake. You will appreciate the subdued atmosphere and the scents that nature reveals at nightfall.  
     
    While admiring the sunset facing the main peaks of the Pyrenees, you can enjoy a traditional pie and savor a herbal tea from the valley. Along the walk sunset at the top », you will be lulled by the tales et Pyrenean readings on the theme of the night. The return under the moonlight and the starry sky promises wonderful memories.

    Pic de Pan Inn

    Let yourself be seduced by the charm and authenticity of Pic de Pan Inn, located in a mountain hut at 1 meters above sea level facing the Col du Soulor. With a breathtaking view of the Pic de Pan, you can savor tasty mountain cuisine prepared with local produce of the season. We taste the French Ham and Vegetable Stew, Pic de Pan raclette (in winter only), mountain toast, trout from the Pyrenees or even the famous black pork from Bigorre… 

    PYRENEES CHEESE

    Cazaux Farm 

    In the heights of the village ofArrens-Marsous, at an altitude of 1 meters, discover the daily life of a family of farmers who have lived on the farm for four generations. There Cazaux Farm raises his herds of cows and sheep and produces a delicious cheese from the Pyrenees. The pressed and uncooked paste is then matured for 2 to 6 months. If you want to taste it, go to the farm where almost all of the production is sold there directly!

    VAL D'AZUN HONEY

    The Arrensois apiary 

    In the village ofArrens-Marsous, Fabien harvests honey from wild flowers produced by black bees. Enjoy a visit to the honey house and let yourself be tempted by a small pot of rhododendron honey du Apiary Arrensois. Other flavors are to be discovered such as heather honey, dandelion honey, linden honey and all-flower honey.
