  • In rainy weather

When the clouds lower and the mist gradually sets in, the mountain takes the opportunity to reinvent itself and give way to new horizons. Once the bad weather dissipates, the Pyrenees will offer you a whole new facet, unique and transformed. While waiting to be able to enjoy these landscapes and these activities in the open air, here are all the discoveries to be made, warm or sheltered from bad weather.

Gèdre interpretation center and climbing hall

When it rains or snows, instead of exploring the mountain and enjoying the landscapes, we approach the mountain in another way, through its history and traditions. In this museum space, between models, timelines and ancient objects, we are totally immersed in Pyrenean mountain life.

To exercise in shelter, 15 climbing routes and a block space are available right next to the museum space. Enough to prepare and train for outdoor climbing once the sunny days return.

The Houses of the Pyrenees National Park

In the heart of the Val d'Azun, it is both Maison du Parc and a Tourist Office. Thanks to a journey and numerous interactive modules, we set off to discover what makes the very essence of the valley: exuberant and preserved nature.

A space where you can go further in your Pyrenean immersion. There you can find information on the Pyreneism, the fauna and the flora. In addition, a book store and temporary exhibitions enrich the visit!

In this building with original architecture, the culture, nature, traditions but also theArticle are in the spotlight. All these elements come to find their place, in harmony, to invite you to better understand the valleys and the species that develop there.

In Cauterets, one of the gateways to the Pyrenees National Park, this Information Point comes raise awareness of the ecosystem Pyrenean valleys. Through exhibitions, events and projections, it is a real invitation to preserve this fragile environment.

    Spas and wellness areas

In the Gavarnie Valleys, falling temperatures and inclement weather are generally synonymous with comfort! Indeed, it's always the perfect opportunity to take care of yourself and be pampered at the spas. In eaux thermales naturally warm, let yourself go for a day in one of the 4 spa centers...

    Relax at the spa

    The Caves of Betharram

Under the Pibeste-Aoulhet Massif, there are more than 1 cavities. One of them can be visited, and allows you to set foot in this parallel world. Training limestones, stalactites et stalagmites...more than 800 meters underground, the scenery is striking. And the cherry on the cake during the visit: sailing on an underground watercourse from a small boat. A special moment!

    Gourmet visits

Does the foggy and humid weather sometimes make you want to spend a day by the fire? In winter, we savor these precious moments! After a short tour of local producers, we are preparing for a gourmet day.
