When to visit the Pyrenees?
Spring
In spring, the still very present snow gradually gives way to green grass and small spring flowers. The landscapes are torn between winter, which is still very present at altitude, and the mildness which is slowly settling in in the valley. This transition offers magnificent contrasts that are never the same from one year to the next.
Summer
In summer, when temperatures rise, new possibilities are available to you to refresh yourself: hikes to the lakes, rafting, canyoning... It is also the return of restaurants on terraces, picnics with panoramic views and aperitifs at sunset.
Autumn
Just like the temperatures, the euphoria of summer slowly fades to give way to the calm and gentleness of autumn. The forests offer pretty orange colors, for the greatest pleasure of the eyes.
Winter
Winter is an unmissable season in the Gavarnie Valleys, with or without snow! The fresh air, the fireplaces lit, the delicious and comforting meals... We never tire of the warm atmosphere of winter in the mountains.
